1. How to pay?

1.    After you make a reservation, you will get a confirmation E-mail as below.

 

 

2.    You have 3 payment options to complete your payment.

 

(1) Cash (USD or KRW) in person before the deadline

 

(2) Wire transfer payment through Korean Bank (KRW) or overseas Bank (USD)
: Sender¡¯s name must be the same as participants. If not, please let us know in advance.

: After sending money, please e-mail us with receipt. Please be aware of the additional bank fee associated with wire transfer.

2. What is KORIDOOR¡¯s policy regarding cancellations & refunds?

**Cancellation policy could be different depending on the tour so, please check the confirmation email carefully after making a reservation. 

1. JSA


[Cancellation and Refund Policy]
The reason why we have these guidelines in place, is because we must submit visitors¡¯ information to the JSA in advance.
Therefore, we require 4 business days cancellation notice prior to your scheduled tour otherwise we will charge you cancellation fee as below.
Please make the payment at least 4 business days in advance. If not, your reservation will be cancelled.

 

The policy is as follows:
Full refund : If you do notify us about your cancellation or any changes 4 business days before your scheduled tour.
50% refund : If you cancel or make any changes 3 business days before your scheduled tour.
No refund : If you cancel or make any changes 2 days or later before your scheduled tour.

 

** Business day is based on our operation hours on weekdays (MON~FRI 08:30~17:00) 

If a part of tour schedule is cancelled by unexpected condition of Panmunjom, no refund will be given.


On the tour day, If you are a no-show, miss the bus, fail to bring your appropriate ID, DO NOT comply with the Dress Code, or for some other reason fail to participate in the tour due to no fault of Koridoor, NO refund and NO credit(No Reschedule) will be given.  

Scheduled tours may be cancelled with no notification if they conflict with official meetings or ceremonies held in UNCMACHA, as deemed appropriate by the Secretary, Military Armistice Commission(UNCMAC).


Tours may also be cancelled for administrative, logistical, or other reasons, as deemed necessary by UNCMAC.   

Should this occur, you will still receive the 3rd tunnel, Dora Station, and Dora Observatory portions of the tour and NO REFUND or NO PARTIAL REFUND will be given in the case of cancellation of the UNCMACHA portion by UNCMAC.


Per Department of Defense Instruction, KORIDOOR facilities are to be maintained as alcohol-free facilities. This includes tours. 
The use of alcohol is strictly prohibited on our tour busses. Any individual(s) violating this policy will be promptly removed from the tour. 
We also reserve the right to refuse service to any individual(s) based on our judgment of their condition upon check-in for scheduled tours. In the event our policies regarding the use of alcohol are violated, refunds will not be given.

 

 

2. Regular Tour

Thus, we can guarantee seats by depositing the money into the bank account or by holding credit card. 

 

If you want to join the tour, please make a reservation at least 4 business days prior to the desired tour date.

 

KORIDOOR Tours reserves the right to refuse or deny any unreasonable request. Thank you for your cooperation.

 

3. Event Tour

4. Are there any age limitations on the DMZ/JSA tour?

Yes, children under ten years of age are NOT permitted on this tour.

5. What is the meaning of ¡°KORIDOOR¡±?

It signifies ¡°Korea¡¯s first door"

6. What is the difference between M and C?

"M" stands for Active Duty Military and their family members (= Dependent).
"C "stands for Civilian, which includes all others not meeting the qualifications for the military price.

 

Reduced prices are not available for anybody outside the U.S. military and their family members.

7. What is the DMZ?
The Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is an area of land encompassing a 4-kilometer-wide strip of land straddling the 155-mile long Military Demarcation Line (MDL).  Each Korean country occupies and controls one-half of the DMZ, or 2-kilometers each.  The opposing sides agreed under the Armistice Agreement not to enter the territory, air space or contiguous waters under control of the other.
8. What is the JSA?

The Joint Security Area, or JSA, is also commonly known as the village of Panmunjeom or ¡°Truce Village.¡±  It is the only portion of the Korean DMZ where North and South Korean forces stand face-to-face.  It lies 50Km north of Seoul along the tongliro. It is the location where the Armistice Agreement was signed on July 27, 1953.

 

Presently, Panmunjeom is the location where official talks between South and North take place. You can feel the tragedy of the divided land and the unhealed scar of internecine war. 

9. What is included DMZ/ JSA tour?

 This tour includes a short briefing on the history of and events in the JSA (Panmunjeom), followed by tours of the JSA

- the 3rd infiltration tunnel discovered by the South Korean

- Dora station (where legal border crossings now take place)

- Dora observatory (closest to the North Korea). 

The Dora Observatory tour also includes;

- a briefing and presents a stunning view of the many different aspects of the DMZ, from military fortifications to nature and wildlife

- Views of the Gaesong Industrial Complex, Gaesong village, and a North Korean jamming tower (on a clear day).

10. What is the DRESS CODE?

All visitors to the UNCMACHA must display a neat and presentable appearance. To meet this requirement the following standards apply:

 

Informal civilian clothes commonly viewed as acceptable in equivalent Public settings are normally acceptable. For example, clean jeans without fraying or tearing and a clean t-shirt with running shoes are considered appropriate.

 

However, ripped jeans, a t-shirt lettered with profanity, and flip-flop sandals, mini skirts, shorts would be deemed unacceptable. Visitors wearing clothing deemed faddis, extreme, torn, tattered, frayed, overly provocative, or otherwise inappropriate by the UNCSB-JSA guides will not be allowed to enter the DMZ.  The following attire/appearance is specifically prohibited:

 

1) Shirts/tops without sleeves or that expose the midriff and tank tops. Also shirts/tops with insulting, provocative or demeaning representations.

2) Frayed cutoff shorts, gym shorts an shorts that expose the buttocks.

3) Any items of outer clothing of a sheer variety.

4) Sports uniforms or athletic clothing of any kind including track pants or other stretch pants or warm-ups.

5) Shower and ¡°flip-flops¡± shoes. Dress Sandals/open toed shoes are also unacceptable.

6) Items of military clothing not worn as an integral part of a prescribed service uniform

7) Oversize clothing, commonly referred to as ¡°gangster¡± clothe, including oversize baggy/long pants, t-shirts, or sweatshirts, and ¡°biker¡± dress such as leather vests and leather riding chaps.

11. Are ladies¡¯ Capri pants allowed in the JSA?

Yes. It is allowed. ​
Everyone should cover all your shoulders, knees, and toes, so please be in a comfortable wearing.​

12. Why don¡¯t I ever see DMZ/JSA tours scheduled on Sundays and Mondays?

Every Sundays and Mondays are administrative days for the unit that manages the JSA and therefore no tours are offered on those days.

13. What do I need on the day I participate in the DMZ/JSA tour?
You must carry your Military ID card or PASSPORT.
NOBODY is allowed to take the DMZ/JSA tour without the appropriate ID.
14. How early should I make reservation?

Seats for ALL TOURS are limited to a first come, first serve basis, so you should make your reservation at your earliest possible convenience.

15. How early should I change my tour date?

In line with our refund policy, you MUST make any changes to your tour schedule at least 4 Business days before the tour date.

16. Can I change a person who is going to take a tour on the tour day?

On any normal tour, yes you can change persons attending the tour.  However, on the DMZ/JSA tour, NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE WITHIN 4 DAYS OF THE TOUR.  We are required to lock in and submit a roster to the UNCMAC personnel 4 days prior to the scheduled tour.

 

Just for your warning, escort soldiers check ALL ID¡¯s against the roster upon entry to Camp Bonifas.

17. Do you have a JeJu Island tour?

We do have a Jeju Island Package Tour, also we can help booking a flight, hotel and rental car separately.

18. Can I make special tour arrangements with KORIDOOR?

Yes, as long as you meet our minimum participation requirements, we will plan most any trip for you. Minimum participation is different for every tour, so contact us for more information.
